Me and My Shadow

The most recent stamp release from SCACD is Fairy Dust designed by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  This image is called Me and My Shadow.

I paired this image with paper from the Webster's Pages Modern Romance collection.  The sentiment is from the Susana Loves Stamps Blank Canvas Collection #2.  It is the word collage freebie image that comes with the complete sheet.

These cute mushroom die cuts are actually, are you ready for this...., from the Dies by SCACD Vintage Fountain.  I know, pretty cool isn't it?  I am going to do this again.  I have some whimsical creations that need red mushrooms with white behind them for the dots. These are just perfect.

Lotus

Lotus is one of the many flower themed women in the collection drawn by Rebecca Sinz and available in digi and rubber from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I had planned to be much more ornate with the background and embellishments on this card, but everything seemed to be wrong with the image.  A few tiny polka dots on the paper and a single flower and the image just shines through.

Today SCACD releases The Fairy Dust Collection!!!
SCACD is introducing the Fairy Dust Collection!!! These are 6 sweet and sassy Fairies that just make you smile and brighten the day :D  Elisabeth Bell sprinkled just the right amount of cute, charm and gorgeous on to these special little fairies. These are stamps for right now but also classics to use years from now :D

I hope that you are hopping along with us to see the release!  You should have just come from Elaine's BLOG.  However, if you aren't, you will want to start at the store blog so you don't miss a thing!

I am super excited to get to introduce you to Looking For Love.  Isn't this the most adorable image?  I can't pick a favorite from this release, but she is certainly right at the top!

There is a lot of sparkle and shimmer on this image.  Her wings have stickles on them and the keyhole is covered with the Copic Glitter Liner in gold and the gems are garnet, lime and clear.

The background is created by using pattern paper from the Carta Bella So Noted collection.  Then, I cut four of the Dies by SCACD Contempo Compass Statement Corner.  I trimmed the edges pieces off the die for the top and bottom of the card and let them overlap on the sides.  I am completely thrilled with the end result.  I can not wait to try this with more of the corner dies in the Dies by SCACD collection!!!

Time now to head on to the next stop on your hop.  You are going to one of our Guest Designers, Kim Dellow's BLOG.

All of our International Friends can still find SCACD Stamps and Dies by SCACD at Quixotic Paperie. Here is their link to the new stamp release HERE !!! The dies are HERE!
In the USA you can find the new Fairy Dust Collection release HERE and new Dies by SCACD HERE!!!

Under Her Wings

Really enjoying this image by Concetta Kilmer called Under Her Wings?  What a fabulous image for a Mother's Day card.  I really wanted some spring happy colors, but was worried about getting carried away and ending up with a rainbow of birds.  I think I managed to have a pleasant mix of colors without going overboard.

The background paper is from the Authentique Renew Paper pack.  I fought with myself a bit before using it.  The paper and pattern were perfect for this image, but the backside is so pretty too.   It isn't that I don't still have two more sheets left to use whichever side I want, it was the idea of gluing down and hiding such a pretty print on the back.  I really think there should be a rule that double sided paper must have an ugly side.

The paper flowers with the orange gem centers were the finishing touch and helped to tie everything all together.  Make certain to take a close look and see just how adorable the faces on the baby birds are.
